Peer Pressure

You'd think I was to old to succumb to peer pressure. LOL. I'm not. I've agreed to go out to dinner tomorrow evening even though I know its not in the budget. At first I said No. It would have been easier to decline if it wasn't for a coworker I really like pushing the invitation. She said things like "just keep us company" and "you could just order an appetizer". Whoa, have you seen the price of appetizers nowadays? Appetizers are as expensive and sometimes more than some entrees. I know, I don't have to choose an expensive one. Guess I am going to have to try to be strong and resist the temptation. I enjoy their company, so it should be fun no matter what I choose to eat.

    i usually go for the side serves if i don't want to spend a lot of money - usually cheaper than an entree. if you have a sandwhich before you go you can just order a bowl of chips or wedges or a bowl of steamed veges or something. sometimes for me it's cheaper and healthier to get two side serves - a salad and some veges, usually ends up costing me about $8 or $10, compared with the mains which are usually around $18. Big Grin

    LOL. No, peer pressure doesn't end when you leave high school. Larger birthday parties for Daisy was something I got pressured into when she was a toddler. . . now I wished I hadn't.

    Call one of them and let them know you'll be 10 minutes late and to start w/o you. Show up and order coffee and dessert!
